A nice sunday morning

Last sunday as I lay cozily in bed, wallowing in self pity, I hear Yahoo #1 exclaim, "#2 has a bloody nose!" Curse those pudgy little fingers. So I jump up and run to the living room. Well, actually I worm my way to the edge of the bed, ease myself into my wheelchair, raise the leg supports, and roll into the living room 5 minutes later. I arrive at the scene, yes it was a scene. Blood splattered all over the floor, pillow cases, and clothes. #2 looks up at me, pushes his chubby little hands in my face, asks me to wash them. Both 1 and 2 are amazingly calm. Fortunately, Grandpa is there and the cleanup doesn't take long.

"No, it is not dry yet, take your finger out!"

I have been unable to walk for almost 4 weeks now with the prospect of several more weeks ahead of me.

I have thought of many things.

I really, really want to walk with my spouse and yahoos.
Some things really are more important than others.
There are some very nice people in this world.
There are more than just a few nerves in the human foot.

I have thought of many things too, two of which are:

You're the same to me whether you can walk or not.

I like having you at home!

I have thought of something too:

You actually did this on purpose to steal the spotlight from us and our baby! You didn't want rabid to come and visit me and wait on me hand and foot.

Hold on! I forget who I am talking to. Not everyone is like a certain in-law of mine. I love the story of the yahoo bloody nose and the hubby and I can't wait until you are better!
